These Terms & Conditions apply to the use of the Homesteaders Hoolie website and to any ticket purchases, bookings or enquiries made through it.

By using this website or buying tickets through it, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

We may update or amend these terms from time to time, and any revised version will be posted on this website.

About the event

Homesteaders Hoolie is a live event and may include music, comedy, culture, history, demonstrations, talks, camping, exhibitors, vendors and other related features.

As with any live event, details may occasionally need to change. We reserve the right to make changes to the programme, line-up, schedule, demonstrations, traders, exhibitors, site layout or event content where reasonably necessary.

Tickets

Tickets must be purchased online in advance unless otherwise stated. No tickets will be available at the gate.

A booking is only confirmed once payment has been successfully received. It is your responsibility to make sure you have selected the correct ticket before completing your purchase.

Each ticket includes only what is clearly stated on that ticket page. Unless specifically listed, your ticket does not include extras such as food, accommodation, transport, camping equipment, electric hook-up, sewerage connection, private facilities or any other item not expressly mentioned.

Children and under 18s

Where stated on the website, children under 12 may attend free of charge.

Anyone aged 12 to 18 must hold the appropriate ticket where required.

All children and under 18s must be supervised by a parent, guardian or responsible adult at all times unless clearly stated otherwise.

Pricing and payments

All prices are shown in euro unless otherwise stated.

Any booking fees, handling charges or payment processing charges will be shown during checkout where applicable.

If a payment fails, is declined or is later reversed, we reserve the right to cancel the booking.

Refunds and cancellations

If the event is cancelled and not rescheduled, ticket holders who purchased through the official website will be entitled to a refund in line with applicable consumer law.

If the event is rescheduled, tickets may remain valid for the new date. If any refund option is offered, this will be communicated at that time.

If you are no longer able to attend, tickets are generally non-refundable unless required by law or agreed by us in writing.

Changes to performers, demonstrations, exhibitors, traders, speakers, schedule or layout do not automatically entitle a ticket holder to a refund, provided the event still goes ahead in a substantially similar form.

Outdoor event and site conditions

Homesteaders Hoolie is an outdoor event taking place in a rural setting. By attending, you understand that conditions may include uneven ground, mud, weather changes, noise, smoke, temporary structures, livestock, vehicles, tools, machinery and other typical countryside or event-site conditions.

These are part of the nature of the event and do not automatically give rise to any refund.

Camping

Camping is only permitted in designated areas and only where the correct camping ticket has been purchased.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, camping tickets do not include individual electricity hook-up, sewerage connection or direct water connection to a pitch.

Where provided, facilities may include showers, water access, rubbish collection, food vendors and communal areas.

Campers are responsible for their own tents, vehicles, belongings and equipment, and must follow all campsite rules and any instructions from organisers, staff or security.

Alcohol and prohibited items

No alcohol will be sold on site unless otherwise stated.

Where allowed, attendees may bring their own alcohol for personal use. We ask that this is done responsibly and respectfully.

Illegal substances, offensive weapons, dangerous items and any prohibited materials are not allowed on site.

We reserve the right to refuse entry or remove anyone who is unsafe, aggressive, abusive, excessively intoxicated or otherwise in breach of the event rules.

Behaviour on site

Everyone attending Homesteaders Hoolie is expected to behave responsibly and respectfully.

We reserve the right to refuse entry or remove any person from the event or campsite without refund where they:

• act in a threatening, dangerous or abusive way

• damage property

• put others at risk

• fail to follow staff or security instructions

• behave in a way that disrupts the event or the safety of others

Demonstrations and activities

The event may include demonstrations involving traditional skills, horses, farming activity, tools, machinery, iron work, willow work, fire, food preparation and other practical or heritage-based activities.

While every reasonable effort will be made to run these safely, attendance near demonstrations and activities is at your own risk, except where liability cannot legally be excluded.

Food vendors, exhibitors and third parties

Food vendors, exhibitors, traders and sponsors may attend the event. Unless expressly stated otherwise, any goods or services purchased from a third party are the responsibility of that third party.

We are not responsible for products or services supplied by third-party traders.

If you have allergies, intolerances or dietary concerns, you should speak directly with the relevant food vendor before purchasing or consuming anything.

Parking and personal property

Vehicles are parked at the owner’s risk.

All personal belongings, camping equipment and valuables are brought to the event at your own risk. We are not responsible for theft, loss or damage except where liability cannot legally be excluded.

Photography and filming

Homesteaders Hoolie may be photographed or filmed for promotional, documentary, press, website or social media use.

By attending, you acknowledge that you may appear in general event photography or video footage.

Website information

We do our best to keep the information on this website accurate and up to date, but we cannot guarantee that everything will always be complete, current or free from error.

Details such as timings, demonstrations, programme information, facilities and line-up may change.

Information disclaimer

Any educational or informational content shared through the website or at the event in relation to farming, homesteading, permaculture, food, sustainability, traditional skills or related subjects is for general information only.

It should not be treated as legal, financial, medical, veterinary, agricultural or other professional advice.

Sponsors, traders and exhibitors

Any sponsor, vendor, trader or exhibitor enquiry submitted through the website is subject to review and acceptance.

Submitting an enquiry does not guarantee a place at the event. Separate agreements or terms may apply to approved sponsors, vendors or exhibitors.

Liability

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so.

Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for issues arising from circumstances outside our reasonable control, including severe weather, supplier failure, government restrictions, public safety concerns or other unforeseen events.

Governing law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Ireland.
