What is Homesteaders Hoolie?

Homesteaders Hoolie is a two-day event bringing together music, comedy, history, culture and homesteading demonstrations in a fun, welcoming setting for like-minded people.

What can I expect at the event?

Across the weekend, you can expect a mix of live entertainment, talks, cultural elements and hands-on demonstrations. Demonstrations will include a range of traditional and practical skills, with examples such as:

  • ploughing with horses

  • working with willow

  • iron works demonstrations

  • the Irish Celtic Chariot

  • poitín making demonstrations

These are just some examples of what will be part of the weekend, with more to be announced.

Where is the event taking place?

Homesteaders Hoolie takes place on Conways farm, Dromore West Co. Sligo. Full location details and directions will be provided to ticket holders.

What ticket options are available?

We have a range of ticket options including camping tickets, 2 Day Weekend Tickets without camping, and single day tickets for Saturday or Sunday.

Do children need a ticket?

Children under 12 go free. Anyone aged 12–18+ must have their own separate ticket.

Does a camping ticket include access to the full event?

The camping ticket includes access to the full weekend, parking in the campsite, and access to the communal BBQ area and camping facilities. Please note there is electricity available on site, but there is no individual electricity hookup to each camping pitch, no sewerage connection and no direct water hookup to camping spots.

Can I bring my own alcohol?

Yes. No alcohol will be sold on site, but you may bring your own. We ask everyone to drink responsibly and respect the atmosphere of the event.

Will there be food and facilities on site?

Yes. There will be food vendors, general event facilities, rubbish collection and a water source on site. Shower facilities and the communal BBQ area are for campers and those with access to camping facilities.
